Hesitant Peace

How the Soviet blueprint for urban life is transferred to resort realities, what’s left of it, how people try to combine life in the city with nature. What was the solution back then and what it is now. How the resort area on one hand has changed the panel buildings, and on the other - left them unchanged.

An exploration of a place, that is becoming a new home for me and my family. This series was made in context of us hastily moving to Jurmala, Latvia due to war. Thus, it plays more of a personal role despite having architectural content. The area is looking so familiar yet couldn’t be more different from my home city. I start to doubt if I can call Moscow “home” at all.
